Research and Development

The Research & Development Wing of Enactus SXC serves as the cornerstone of innovation and impact within the organization. Dedicated to uncovering opportunities for social entrepreneurship, this wing undertakes comprehensive research to understand pressing societal challenges. It then translates insights into sustainable, real-world solutions by designing practical product prototypes. Each initiative is evaluated through detailed market analysis and pilot programs to ensure viability and long-term impact. As the driving force behind both legacy and upcoming projects, the R&D Wing embodies Enactus SXC’s mission to foster transformative change through creativity, research, and strategic action.

PROJECT REVASTRA
The Textile Upcycling Initiative collects discarded clothing and surplus fabrics through donations and boutique partnerships, transforming them into sustainable products like patchwork garments, rugs, and home décor. Skilled women artisans lead this effort, reducing landfill waste while creating economic opportunities and empowering marginalized communities through employment and skill development.

PROJECT NARIKEL
Project Narikel transforms waste coconut shells into sustainable, value-added products. By diverting husks from landfills, we reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Through a circular economy model, we create eco-friendly materials like coir while generating jobs and empowering local women artisans. Project Narikel turns an environmental challenge into an opportunity for community growth and a healthier planet.

PROJECT VAAN
Project Vaan transforms ordinary paper into plantable seed paper, turning stationery into sustainable gardens. Each biodegradable product grows into herbs, flowers or vegetables when planted, replacing waste with life. Beyond environmental benefits, we empower marginalized communities by training women and youth in seed paper production, creating green livelihoods. Merging sustainability with social impact, VANN cultivates change—one sheet at a time.
