Talking Pots is a social venture launched in August 2015. It offers hand-painted pots that blend art's beauty with nature's richness. These vibrant, eco-friendly pots serve as a sustainable alternative to traditional flower bouquets and home decor items, drawing inspiration from the cultural essence of West Bengal.
Each pot undergoes a detailed process—from sanding and base coating to sketching and final painting—before being sealed with varnish for a glossy finish. The initiative empowers marginalised communities through skill development and creativity. With Talking Pots, the team seeks to promote green living while gaining practical exposure.
The project's beneficiaries are unemployed, underprivileged women who paint pots for a living and are sold as per customized preferences and sold through various avenues like exhibitions and social media handles. The proceeds go directly to these women, thus strengthening their roots in society, quite literally.
